Eric Trump Criticizes Wisconsin Recount

Re:   Your tweet - "The Sad Truth: The Cost of Stein/Clinton's #Wisconsin Vote Recount

        Could Have Saved At Least 5,000 Children's Lives" (linked to an article from

Mr. Trump. Putting aside the dubious accuracy of the above-referenced assertion, in that you throw out a random unsubstantiated number(not unlike your father's modus operandi), and fail to specify the country in which these hypothetical children live, I will instead focus on what the first three words, "The Sad Truth," mean to me.

Truth -- that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality -- seems to be a concept with which your father is unfamiliar. His propensity for telling lies is often astounding and frightening. Whenever his lies are quickly debunked, with video evidence of him actually saying those things, his nose grows longer as he doubles down and digs himself a deeper hole by pivoting and denying he even said those things. 

As such, I am inclined to dismiss anything you and your family identify as "Truth," because your "Truth" bank account has no funds. And to paraphrase yet another a trope, it appears the orange hasn't fallen far from the tree.

Following are my observations and opinions, in no particular order:

THE SAD TRUTHS

• Your father duping millions of his followers with empty campaign sound bites
• Your father’s abhorrent appointees to the "swamp" he promised to drain
• Your father’s Narcissistic need for adulation to such a degree that he holds Nuremberg-like rallies (hearkening back to the days of Hitler), just to bask in applause and attention in order to fill what must be a profound emptiness
• Your father’s incessant childish tweeting, unbecoming to the office of the President, and embarrassing to our nation
• Your father’s dangerous and reckless behavior both on and off Twitter that has already created a diplomatic crisis with China
• Your father’s “Trump University” that bilked thousands of trusting individuals out of their life’s savings, and then his refusal to make them whole again by settling for pennies on the dollar to avoid a trial that would expose more of his corruption, while simultaneously allowing him to take the entire settlement as a tax write-off
• Your father’s corrupt misuse of funds donated to the Trump Foundation, which should have been for charitable purposes, but instead were diverted to buy such things as a large painting of himself, and to fraudulently fund his campaign
• Your father’s failure to pay taxes like every other American
• Your father’s belief that laws don’t apply to him either before or after the election
• Your father’s surprise that being President was a big job that involved actual work
• Your father’s avoidance of intelligence briefings
• Your father’s campaign promise to lower taxes for the middle class, and then after the election revealing he plans to lower taxes for the wealthy top 1% and corporations instead
• Your father’s grift of forming companies, borrowing money, running the companies into the ground, and then filing bankruptcy to avoid paying the debts
• Your father’s unethical method of hiring people to do projects and then refusing to pay the bills
• Your father’s hypocrisy regarding corporations that outsource to other countries, while both he and your sister Ivanka have all their junk made in China and Mexico
• Your father’s priority of wealth over country by importing Chinese steel for his buildings, thereby hurting our American Steel Workers
• Your father’s refusal to release his tax returns like every candidate before him
• Your father's refusal to allow Media access to him and his administration
• Your father’s refusal to release medical records
• Your father's incessant abuse of his "white privilege" and an arrogant air of entitlement
• Your father's threats to widen libel laws so he can sue anyone who criticizes him
• Your father's threats to imprison people exercising their First Amendment Rights
• Your father's threats to take away women's reproductive rights and reverse the Supreme Court's decision in Roe v Wade
• Your father's threats to jail Hillary Clinton and invoking the "lock her up" chant
• Your father's threats to restrict the Internet (which he cannot do)
• Your father's threats to create a Muslim registry, and ban all Muslims from entering our country
• Your father's threats to deport all "illegals" and his plan to build a 2000-mile wall at the Mexican border
• Your father's despicable mocking of a disabled journalist
• Your father's despicable insinuation that most Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers
• Your father's despicable statements and behaviors toward women
• Your father’s despicable “birther” conspiracy against President Barack Obama
• Your father’s association with the KKK and White Supremacists
• Your father’s need to put his name on buildings
• Your father's plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act which will have a catastrophic impact on the health of millions of Americans who desperately need access to doctors, specialists, life-preserving prescriptions, and mental health care 
• Your father's plan to implement Paul Ryan's initiative for voucherizing Medicaid and cutting Medicaid, which will negatively affect millions of senior citizens (Baby Boomer generation)
• Your father’s deceptive spin on the Carrier "deal" paid with Indiana tax dollars
• Your father's discrimination against Blacks wanting to live in one of his buildings that prompted the Department of Justice to file charges against him
• Your father’s likely collusion with Russia to manipulate our election and destroy democracy
• Your father’s violation of the Logan Act, asking Russia to hack Secretary Clinton’s emails
• Your father's call to Taiwan in defiance of our long-standing agreement with China, thereby disrupting diplomatic relations
• Your father's multiple violations of the Emoluments Clause in the U.S. Constitution
• Your father's circuitous game of pretending to divest himself of all business matters by turning them over to you and your siblings, rather than doing a proper and ethical blind trust
• Your father's inclusion of Ivanka and Jared in meetings with foreign officials discussing matters of national security, while simultaneously cutting deals that will increase your family's wealth at the expense of our nation
• Your father's selfish expectation that the residents of New York City should not only be inconvenienced for the next year with his constant presence there, but also that they should foot the bill for his decision to live wherever he pleases
• Your father's selfish expectation that, because he chooses to live in his Manhattan residence, American taxpayers should foot the bill as he charges rent to the Secret Service for using several floors in his building to protect him
• Your sister Ivanka’s leveraging of the family name to appear as if she’s helping charities when, in fact, she’s using her faux philanthropy as a way to hawk her cheap wares made in China
• Your sister Ivanka's leveraging your father's current status as a way to increase sales of her knock-off shoes, clothing, and jewelry, promoting same immediately after political events in which she appears
• Your sister Ivanka's duplicitous assertion that she is not associated with your father politically as a way to distance herself from his policies and outrageous statements, yet all the while sitting in on meetings, as well as being listed as an adviser and part of his "transition team"
• Your sister Ivanka's cashing in on her increased visibility to boost her company's sales
• Your sister Ivanka’s failure to condemn her father’s misogynistic and sexually predatory behavior
• Both you and your sister's marriages to Jewish people, yet your abysmal and unforgivable failure to denounce your father's administration appointments who publicly denigrate Jews with their anti-Semitic rhetoric
• Both you and your sister's marriages to Jewish people, yet abysmal and unforgivable failure to condemn the use of the Nazi salute at your father's rallies, as well as failing to denounce the neo-Nazis who praise your father as their next Hitler
• Your brother's and your propensity for spending tens of thousands of dollars to fly to foreign countries to get sadistic pleasure from hunting and killing innocent animals (no one should enjoy committing murder of people or animals)
• You identify the pursuit of integrity with our election process via a recount and/or audit as a bad thing, yet it is one of the tenets upon which our country was built

And finally --

• You criticized the use of funds many people chose to donate for auditing the election by alleging it could have been used to “save children’s lives.” Show me where you have used any of the wealth you were handed, from birth, for philanthropic purposes. As to saving children’s lives? Hillary Clinton has done more work, and devoted boundless time, energy, and money throughout her career, helping children via causes such as the Children’s Defense Fund, than you ever could or would.
